Ok Ok Ok I missed last Friday, so let me start off with an apology to my readers. But have you ever had a day where you felt like there aren’t enough minutes in the day? Well, that totally describes my life for the past two weeks. Well, as they say in the south I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off between kid activities and house duties. Which got me to thinking about parent “ME TIME”. Everyone needs a moment for themselves and it can be real challenging with kids.

Before you start thinking about money there are many cost effective things you can do. For instance, you may want a facial or massage, or some sort of relaxing experience.  Now I know we all love those big fancy spas, but why not take advantage of your local cosmetology schools, or maybe try one of those for profit schools like Miller Motte Spa in Cary. They use great products and I’ve never been disappointed. If manicure and pedicures are your thing, try out the nail school, Troutman. There are too many hair schools around here to name. So don’t let money stop you

If you’re interested in going to the movies. GO!. AMC theatres has an amazing free reward program called AMC stubs. If you sign up for this reward program you will save up to $2 off tickets every Tuesday ( I paid $5 for a matinee) and every 5,000 points will earn you a $5 reward.

If you have extra time during the day stop by a happy hour spot. My favs are P.F. Chang’s, Cheesecake Factory, Bahama Breeze, and  if its Wednesday I cant forget Bonefish Grill $6 bang bang shrimp. Take advantage of the discounted appetizers.

I know we love our littles ones to pieces but everybody needs me time, but if all else fails remember it can be something small like sitting in your car by yourself for a few minutes that can bring sheer peace and quiet. I know your like who wants to do that. Speaking from experience don’t knock it until you try it. If all else fails you can also take a extra long bathroom break, shower, bath, or a evening stroll.

What do you do for me time?
